Make sure your wheels are balanced correctly and that your rear bushing are in good shape and your ride will ride good again.

Better ride/quality tires in conjunction with wheel alighment/balance/etc does wonders.

I drove around with worn pillow bushes, shotty stock suspensions, bad tires for almost 2 years and the difference after changing all of them is day and night. All that time I just assumed the FD was a very rough ride. Boy was I wrong!

My car drives with no noise or vibrations at all and to top that off I eliminated all the annoying sounds and squeaks from the rear hatch so I actually enjoy driving my car now.

As for your steering wheel shaking, get your wheels balance. I spent abit extra and got some 'laser wheel balance' and they actually took a good 30 mins doing it. My steering wheels doesn't shake anymore especially at high speed although I do feel slight vibrations from the front but I've got el cheapo tires at the front which explains it.

My rear pillowballs or bushes are gone, and need to be replaced... my PPF is cracked, I think... and my pilot bearing it gone... a lot of shaking when taking of, can't downshift due to clunking and same with reverse, but the ride itself isnt bad... planning to fix everything very shortly

if you elaborate the "situation" on your steering wheel which shakes ALL the time, or when you step on the brake or whatsoever. Otherwise, it's harder for others to diagnose your current situation.

I'm thinking about letting out some air on all 4 tires...my ride is pretty smooth tho, its more the shaking of everything that gets on my nerves.

Lots of advice on the shaking....here's one about the noise. Install Dynamat Extreme on everything aft of the seats and inside the doors. I did this and the noise was decreased considerably. I found a deal online, got enough Dynamat to do the entire back end of the car for less than $180.

The ride in an FD is stiff bordering on harsh. Early R1s would make your kidneys bleed after an extended ride of, 2 miles or so....lol!
But you have a LOT of potentially serious problems that need fixed there fella. I for one can't imagine having a car with the sort of performance capability the FD has that WASN'T in tip top shape, mechanically.

I have a 1992 Type S - I think it was equivalent to the base model over here, my ride is super soft on stock suspension with around 45k miles. In fact it's too soft for me, my skyline had aftermarket suspension and the ride was harsh as hell, I loved it. My RX7 rides like a mercedes!
