How To: Change Headlight Bulbs

All -

Can't find my manual. Feel dumb for asking, but how do you change out the front headlight bulbs? Do you have scanned instructions or something? I got the Sylvania 9003 replacements.

Thanks
Chris.

it's really easy just pop up the lights and take off the screws that hold the headlight covers

then from there it should be real obvious
theres a black plastic thing and a metal retainer
just go slow and dont lose anything...put everything back by remembering exactly how it was

Yeah, I was stumped first time I did headlights on an FD . You do have to remove the painted headlight cover - 2 screws in the front, 2 in the back. Be careful with the headlight cover - it's plastic, and somewhat fragile. They all seem to break over time, resulting in a headlight cover bouncing down the interstate .

With the cover off, you'll see the bulb right there - easy as pie at that point.

BTW, it's easiest to get to the front screws with the headlight up, and the rear screws with the headlight down.

Put the lights up, take the covers off, pull the rubber boot off, push the latch that holds the bulb in towards the front of the car and down. Then remove. Repeat other side. Install reverse of removal.

yeah, I've got those sylvania's in my car. honestly the best "legal" bulbs I've seen other than HIDs. I've had stronger ones on my previous cars, but am concerned about an 85w bulb burnin out my wires.
