How can you beef up the transmission?

my transmission is busted again. i miss shift from 3 to 5 and now i cant go into 5 or r. I just got the transmission rebuild about 2 years ago.

I want to know if there is any upgraded parts out.
I would go with the dog cut gears but i dont have $5k.

Best and most cost effective upgrade: Learn how to shift the car properly.

I have not heard of anyone strengthening their tranny.

There are no transmission upgrades that cost less than $5000 that will be "bulletproof". Even the OS Giken gearset that costs $3200~ still uses the stock mazda synchro's.

Best bet is SHIFT SLOWER or PRACTICE shifting.

Besides, the stock tranny has been proven to go up and beyond 500 rwhp. Most of the "broken" tranny's are caused by users...

The stock trannsmission is plenty strong.

There is no need to "slam" through the gears as fast as you can in order to go fast. Shift briskly; but not as fast as you can. You gain no time by moving the shift lever a fraction of a second quicker because during the shift the car is in fact still moving. The few thousands of a second you gain by moving the shift lever faster do not equate to a few thousandths gain in acceleration, but they do greatly increase your chances of breaking something.

Obviously there is no need to downshift quickly as the car is slowing under the brakes. Downshifts should practically be lazy.

The best upgrade I ever made was installing a shortened short throw shifter
