How can I make this shift **** to fit on my car?

My friend gave me a MOMO shift ****. It's pretty nice so I was trying to put it on but it didn't quite fit. Inside of the **** it had three locking things instead of screw thread. How can I make it fit?

well first u need the plastic adapter. Its a black plastic cap that sits over the shifter. Then the **** goes over and the 3 hex screws screw into the plactic adapter cap. Tighten it real good and the thing wont even turn/come off

Without seeing it I can't say for sure. But you could try inserting a heli-coil (sp?) for a 10 X 1.25. If it would seat, you wouldn't need the set screws and it should spin right on the shifter arm like stock.

Do it right. This is a threaded insert that goes into the shift ****, you then tighten the set screws down so it's clamped onto it, then screw it onto your shift ****.

Momo's set screw design is WAY bobo. This thing at least makes it tolerable .

Does that fit also fit the rx7? Anyone try it with a short shifter?

That will fit any Mazda from about '90 on up. Newer Mazdas all use a 10mm shaft on the shift lever. If a stock shift **** will fit your short shifter, this adapter will work.

Thanks! I been trying all kind of different adapters and nothing works. The RX7 Club ROCKS.

Hehe, I try . I'm more of a fan of aftermarket ***** that actually screw on - the set screws is just such a junky way to do it. Greddy's ***** thread on NICE, and all of the Razo ***** use plastic inserts that thread onto the **** for a super tight rattle-free fit.
