Talking How to break a clutch in?

I was wondering if anyone has any advice on how to break a clutch in. I just installed a new pilot bearing and seal, throwout bearing, flywheel, clutch pp and 6 puck disc. I have heard that proper break-in is essential for a good ride. I have also heard that my pedal should disengage really low. It begins to disengage after about 2 inches of movement. Thanks!

most clutch manufactures recommend 500 or so easy miles, lots of gentle starting and stopping. save the 4k drops until 1k miles or so ;-)

I guess i'm not 100% sure but most cars you can adjust the clutch pedal, and it is usually recomended when you install a new clutch.

And like said above, 500 miles minimum of easy city driving, don't just go hit up the highway for a few hours here and there because that won't cut it . When I was breaking a clutch in previously I used to just go cruising down the main drag for a few hours every night after work, between that and normal driving I had it fully broken in within a month.

Fixed the pedal by pumping it a few thousand times. I will drive some city for a few hundred miles to break it in. I guess this is to assure the bearings are not destroyed by a hard launch.

Not so much the bearings but the clutch friction surface. If you go out hot rodding around without letting it break it properly you will glaze it over and then it will start slipping. Depending on how broken in it is when you start beating on it will determine how long it lasts, so i'd recomend setting your trip right now and keep the quick shifting and launchs to a zero until it goes over 500 miles (i'm paranoid so I do 750 myself).
