the car blows smoke constantly...it'll boost, but misses in high rpms. black smoke, white smoke...and it doesn't like to idle.
120,000 miles on original motor.
i am currently in the process of ordering another motor....so the current one is comming out in the next month.
i know it is on it's very last leg, but is there a way to keep it running for just a while longer...and if it still runs..that means it isn't dead yet...so i could clean it up a little and keep it running for the next month i would assume.
i just bought this thing..and it's pretty dirty and not taken care of....
so i figure i can change the spark plugs, change the oil and make sure the vacum system is in place...i should be able to baby it for a few more weeks. anyone have any other suggestions?
i don't want to spend that much money on it cause it's gonna be out of there in the next month...so cheap solutions to keep it held together..
thanks

I'm not trying to be a smart-a**, but...
What are the engine-related mods? There a lot of things that could cause your symptoms - ignition problems, turbo problems, etc. that may not go away by only replacing the engine without repairing the other stuff.
Why do you think your engine is the cause of all these things?
Make sure that you've covered all the bases before you dive into engine replacement.

If I were you, I'd just park it and wait for the engine to come in. I read your other post bout buying it to fix it back up. To avoid damaging anything else and making anything else worse.
