How-to: Adjust your clutch pedal for shorter throw
Hey guys -
This is a mod I pioneered back on my FC way back when, and I found out last night it works great on the FD. Shorten the throw of the clutch pedal, takes 10 minutes, and just 2 wrenches to do.

This is one of the first of a TON of writeups I intend to do as I build the perfect FD .
Let me know what you think, and if anything is unclear, let me know and I'll do some editing.

I did this a few months back and reversed it immediately. A few members of the forum expressed concern that it could cause the TOB to rub against the pressure plate.
There's already a write up on this too somewhere btw.

If you adjust it right, there's no preload on the pressure plate - it's just as it is stock. You just take the last few inches of dead pedal travel out of the clutch pedal's throw. In the writeup near the end, I emphasize that you need a small amount of slop at the top of the clutch pedal's travel - this guarantees the clutch isn't preloaded.
I had the clutch on my '88 Turbo adjusted nicely with an ACT Xtreme pressure plate. Drove it for AGES with no problems whatsoever.
