HOTTT!!! under the hood, Airpump remove?

Hi guys i need your help. I dont know whats going on here but under the hood of my 93 is extremely hotttttt!!!

even when i walk behind the muffler i would get burn if i walk to close to it. Does anyone know whats going on or is this normal?

the other one is Can i take out my Airpump at all? do i need it, becus i want to buy the XS power intercooler and in the picture it looks like the intercooler piping goes right over where the airpump is but dont know exactly whether they taken out the air pump or not. But if they did would it be a problem at all to take it out?

You'll fit just fine with the air pump. If you have a strut brace, it will be an extra tight fit, may need some modification to the pipes. If you still have a cat, you'll want to keep the air pump.

BK7 is right about the air pump - without it your cat will wear out more quickly, and how quick depends on how rich the car is tuned.

We should schedule a time for you to drive up my way and check this car out.
