Which hose to cap on Profec B install?? (searched)

hey--I've read that I'm supposed to cap some hose or line when installing the Profec B. I know that the short 2 inch line gets replaced with the ones that go to the black control box. Can anyone tell me (in detail or with a picture) which gets capped? thanks,

There is a nipple on the wastegate actuator (at turbo) that feeds air through a vacuum hose to the wastegate solenoid (in the rat's nest). You need to plug the outlet nipple on the wastegate actuator and then plug the vacuum hose leading back to the wastegate control solenoid. You do this to prevent the car from controlling the boost and letting the Profec do it's thing. Here's a link to the some sketches on Rob's site, it may help. http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobi...boost_note.htm or here: http://www.rx7turboturbo.com/robrobinette/profec.htm

BTW, where are you mounting your solenoid? My mechanic installed mine above the ABS hardware using an existing bolt hole in the passenger fender wall. It's a good location as it keeps the vacuum tubing short and it's actually pretty cool because of the heat shielding for the ABS components.

It's going right behind the P Headlight. I've got the feed scoop, so it should be kept cool..

Rynberg--I appreciate the description, but I have NO idea what you're in reference to. It makes sense, but I can't see what you're talking about. I'm pretty mechanically inclined--not a newbie. Got a picture? Can you be more specific (if possible)?
