Hoping you can identify a broken wire

Under the plenum wiring harness, I have a black with blue stripe wire that has no connector at the end. It's beside the coolant temp sensor. I'm hoping someone can help.

If you post a picture then yes help is right here. Take a picture of the wire and the area its in along with where it looks like it may go. I should be able to tell you.

On the back of the water pump housing? How many plugs do you have back there? 1 or 2? The upper one should be green and the lower one black, if you have a lower one.

Without a picture I would speculate it is the wire for California emissions cars.
