Hood Release

Hey guys, I recently got my car back from the body shop, and noticed the hood release latch was missing, only the metal wire was there, not the plastic piece you actually pull. They said they'll replace it, but wanted to know if they have to buy the plastic and the entire metal line as one piece, or can they just buy the plastic and link it to the wire? Thanks!

might as well get a quote from a dealer. they like to make you purchase as much as possible anyways.

The handle and the cable are one assembly. It's not hard to replace. Not expensive either; about $40 IIRC.
