Which hood and exhaust do you guys recommend for me?

I'm not sure what look I should be going for. Was thinking Scoot Hood, because it seems very functional. Should I get a carbon fiber hood or a fiber glass hood and paint it to match the car.

For the exhaust, I currently have JIC. Its looks ok to me, and its very loud and very good for performance. Would the car look akward if I put a dual tip RB exhaust on it? I am planning to get a rear kit and spoiler (maybe) in the future. I want an exhaust that isn't that loud. I was also thinking of that new exhaust from Apexi that has some valve system.

Thanks for any advice!

I think the scoot hood would look good, and instead of changing the exhaust, maybe a diffuser or something to make the back look more extreme, as the lines have changed all the way round, and the back is stock, and IMO it looks wierd like that.
If i had a kitted car, I'd use the RSR EXmag GTII.

I would go with an RE N1 hood or the KS hood, The scoot hood reminds me too much of a viper..IMHO..

I am getting a KS hood I cant express how much I like it I also do like the scoot but you have to buy the real thing as most replicas of the scoot are very bad and can cause gaps between the hood and the fender. I say KS hood from RotaryExtreme. Also exhaust looks good maybe a RE Diffuser will bring out the life in that exhaust.

check out the atihun hood. its a copy of the mazdaspeed one. i'd get fiberglass and paint it to match unless you like looking like a ricer.

as for exhaust - the racing beat is the quietest one. do a search on racing beat as this topic has been beaten to death.

I can only think of one RX7 I have seen that had an unpainted fiberglass hood and it looked like ***

What I like is the old RE rear diffuser, can this be bought anywhere still? I may just keep the exhaust in that case. The RB unit probably looks good for near stock cars only.

I'll probably pick a fiberglass hood and paint it to match. It will look cleaner that way.

If you guys have pics of Silver FDs with aftermarket hoods please post them!

Chuck at Rotary Extreme still has some of the older version rear diffuser, you should PM him.

Thumbs up

Go with the RE N1 hood and old school RE diffuser for the exterior. I think this setup would look very mean wingless, but if you decide to go to the extreme and get a wing--> Panspeed GT2000 adjustable rear. As for exhaust, I'd recommend giving the current one some cleaning/buffing and keeping it. The RB dual suits stock cars best.
