Hood Bolts Question

So, I've been perusing the forums and haven't managed to find an answer. Here's hoping y'all can help!

So I recently acquired a Mazdaspeed Hood from a fellow forum member (giggity) and was planning on installing it today believing it is relatively straight forward. As I started however I noticed a fundamental difference in the construction of the two hoods. The stock hood has a pair of bolts mounted in the hood itself and is secured through the hinge brackets using nuts. The Mazdaspeed hood doesn't have mounted bolts, instead it has bolt holes built in, meant to accept bolts that screw into the hood through the brackets.

The question: does anyone know the size and pitch of the standard hood bolts? I'm making and assumption that they are the same between the two.

Thanks y'all!

Like most things on the car, they are usually M6x1.0.
Just be sure that are too long and bottom out or poke thru the hood.

Hood nuts were wide flange M8 for the captive bolts.

Mazda uses the JIS standard, mostly.

a 6mm bolt should be a 1.0 thread, 8mm is 1.25. there are exceptions, but that is a starting place

So, thanks again for those who helped with this question. For those that find this thread down the road I can report that the proper bolt size is M8 x 1.25. I havent put the hood on yet but I have threaded the bolts in and this is the proper thread pitch.
