How do you get the hood to be partially raised in the back to let the air out, like in soul's car?

 

Metal shims. Just put some washers under the hinges.

Ok, look at the hood. See the hinges? There are 2 10mm bolts on each hinge that attaches it to the hood. Unbolt those, and put 2,3,4 whatever 10mm washers between the hinge and the hood, and reinstall the bolts to the hood. This is how a guy from Japan expalined it to me when I asked him...
