Holes in dashboard

I just had a Viper alarm installed in my car today. Everything's working good except for the LED light that they drilled a hole in my dashboard to install. They never asked me if I wanted the light. They just said that if people don't say they don't want it, they put it. As any of you probably feel, you don't want someone putting holes in your dashboard. My dash had no scratches or cracks anywhere on it. Now it has a chipped up LED light with two scratches on the dash. Do any of you feel I should get them to replace that particular panel or am I just being too picky?

if they did a good job of the install i wouldent bitch, its not like they wanted to do the extra work, they just assumed you wanted it done.

but if they chipped up your dash panel while installing the led then i would seek repairations.

No matter WHAT I'd make them pay for a new dash pad. There are places that most shops are smart enough to put the LED in like the center panel for the defroster vents (replaceable) or the switch blank in the center console.

They won't roll over on this, it'll probably be a small claims court thing.

Why couldn't they just rewire into the stock alarm light?

That's what i did. Get it fixed, especially if you have a picture of that area previous to alarm install.
