Question the hole in the stock intercooler duct

when i added my apex intake i took the big plastic piece off, that sits right in front of the intercooler. should i cover up the rectangle hole on top of the duct, so that all the fresh air goes to my intercooler, or leave open so that the air blows to the intake as well. i cant put the plastic piece back on because i mounted my profec b on the driver side of the duct.

Definitely cover it to regain some IC efficiency. Get a piece of plastic sheet (maybe from a 3-ring binder cover or something) and use silicone sealant and some screws to hold it in place.
