HKS vs. Pettit Intake

Which is the better intake and why? I have the chance to get one or both and I can't decide.

They are just intakes. It doesn't matter which one you get, they both do the same function.

honestly the pettit looks kind of rigged. the quality is graet, k&n, hks i dont like. when cleaning out my intercooler as a maintenince thing with the k&n it was very free of anything but oil. my friends who has a hks super mega flow had a good amount of sand! i have heard that in japan the filters are supposed to be oiled like k&n but that they cannot import the oil for them because they use a US banned propellent in the aerosol can.

fwiw. i dont know how true that is. i trust k&n alot.

Well, I can tell that it's a load of crap. Motorcycles use foam filters as well and every cycle shop has tons of different oils for the filters.

If you don't oil foam filters, they are not as effective as they should be....

Also you have to change foam filters more often than the K/N filters. The K/N's you just have to recharge correct?

Just build your own Petit Intake. Buy some K/N filters and fabricate your own "Damian" heat shield haha.
