So I recently got my first FD3S... It has a HKS twinpower installed that buzzes when the ignition key is in the on position.

I know this isn't necessarily the end of the world, but it's got a new engine in it (the previous owner replaced it after blowing it) and the high idle is a bit rough, so I'd like to replace it just to remove variables.

Is there a consensus regarding using the HKS twinpower vs. the Sakebomb coil set? (twinpower with the stock coils vs just the aftermarket coils).

Do they work well together?

The twin power shouldn't buzz so something is wrong. If you are still breaking in that new motor, I would unplug it and just run the car with the stock ignition for now. You won't be boosting it much anyway. The Sakebomb ignition uses the IGN-1A coils and produces a much stronger spark. But the best thing about it is if you can run the coils direct fire, if your ecu supports it. I've had cars with injectors stuck open and the IGN-1A coils still started it. You do not need a twinpower if you switch to the Sakebomb setup.
