I will change the price in the next day. HKS just dropped the pricing yesterday.

Question: Can using an ignition ampliflier like this give you a gain in gas mileage?

I heard something like 2-3 MPG, which I would think would be worth it (that's would be 55 miles on an 18.5 gallon tank afterall...), especially if you can get some power gains at the same time.

How often do they actually fry stock coils though?

Just curious :P

but with 400+ to the wheels, i can't really tell if it does anything up top... maybe i'll unplug, then plug it back in next time i'm on the dyno--IF i remember.

in any case, i feel it's worth the $140.

Holy ****! that's great...I am guessing the harness is still like $15 or something like this? still a good $175 savings tho....This will be my X-mas present along with a tune

You know, I am having the same issue. I have a conservative tune running greddy race plugs in the leading with new coils and at 16psi I get breakup past 5000rpm...So I think this HKS is in my near future.

I would have break up at 14 psi around 5500rpm. The car is tuned real rich. If I turned the boost controller down to 10psi I could go to red line without break up. I am running A/F of 10.5:1 all the way up to red line. Once I installed the TP I was able to run to red line without break up at 14psi.

I later installed a WideBand and turned the boost up further.

I like the TP very much, it cleared up my break up problems. I spent $500 on it and was overjoyed when it fixed my break up problems. I can only imagine how I would feel if I only spent $400 on it. It is worth every penny in my opinion.

i'd like to see a heads up comparison between the fc1000 and the twin power.

if anyone wants to do some pulls, i'll donate my ignition for a day so we can get a straight comparison between the two.

No, I meant the car is still at KDR. I haven't gotten a chance to drive the car with some of my new mods yet because of that.

OOOOOOHhhh, ok.... whew! With a car like an FD, its a ridiculous thing to plan out projects and invest before you have the car. But I know how that is. I had my car sitting on jackstands in my garage for most of last year. Parts were all over the house, but I didn't get to drive it until March or April. Its going in for body work this winter too and I have to rebuild my tranny and do a lot of polishing and engine bay reorganizing.... lots of projects, but I have the car.

I know how it is. I bought the car last November but have probably driven it for maybe 3 months in the entire time that I've owned it.
