hks titanium or gg spec exhaust.

well ive been going back and forth between those two.

so the hks has a 4 inch piping and is a full system

and the apexi gt spec has a 3.75 inch piping with it being a catback

the hks is 1100 and the gt spec is 580. well hks does come with the mid pipe. and is cooler but is it worth it.

now if i was to upgrade my turbos next year would that make a differance.

would it make a differance now???

i do plan on getting a stand alone ecu real soon. most likely the pfc.

thanks for all your help guys.

If you have the cash go for the HKS Ti, but get the ecu put in at the same time.

If your car is a street car and you plan to do more upgrades i do not suggest the HKS Racing Ti.

You will spike with that exhaust if you do not have a ECU you might pop.

With the stock twins the exhaust is barely drivable ...when you go to single or port the motor you are gonna wish you were deaf.

like rotaryknight said, the HKS is solely an off-road racing exhaust. in order to run it you need to have a heavily modded car thats tuned right. your much better off to save your money for now and go with the Apexi. later on you can always add a 3" midpipe and still come out cheaper than the HKS without sacrificing any power

By the way, the GT spec is not a constant 3.75", it tapers up to that size.

The HKS is nice but I agree I heard it's loud. Too loud for a daily driver.

I say go with the GT spec and save the extra $500.00 towards the PFC..

Why not check out the JIC Spec 90. 90mm piping, great welds, unique. I still haven't seen anyone with a JIC exhuast. I'd really like to hear it.

lost time is also correct. the piping is 3" for about 3cm from its flange and then it tapers out to 3.75" and continues with that size all the way out through the canister. i really doubt that this affects performance in anyway

JIC Maybe

I was at Ziel Motorsports a few days ago. They had the full titanium cat back, with the burnt tip and it's about $1100. You will be extremely lucky if you get HKS titanium for that price. He didn't believe the HKS was availabe in the US, he thinks they just have the carbon wrap with ti tip. The US JIC Ti does "not" have the lever deal to open and close the chamber for low end and hi end power. They won't export that version. I don't know if I like the burnt tip idea after hearing the Cragen Auto comercial for burnt tips.

Anyhow there is the Kakimoto full Ti cat back for about $1100 and and the JIC Ti can with SS tubing for about $850 which seems like the best deal. How much weight do you need to shave if you don't race for money?

One of the Japanese users on here has the JIC. HOpefully he'll upload a pic and sound file
