HKS SSQ BOV question

Sorry if this is a dumb question and I did try searching the net and forum with no luck. I bought a HKS ssq bob pretty cheap locally and the guy who I got it from was recirculating the vent so there is a short aluminum tube attached to the front of the bov. He gave me all the fittings etc which included a aluminum plug that he was telling me to put in place of the aluminum tube if I was going to vent to the atmosphere which is what I would like to do. Just looking at it though makes me think that if I plug the hole, where is the air going to be released from. Of course there was no manual and cannot find one online so I figured I would ask here as I know many folks run this unit. Any insight would be much appreciated.
Thanks,
Ali

Once you remove the stock bov because the stock one vents into the intake it will leave a hole once you remove it.

Basically what the guy you bought it from was saying is that if you dont vent it into the stock bov hole with the pipe that he had, you remove that pipe from the bov and use the plug he was telling you about to plug that hole in the intake, not the bov itself.

Also, did the bov you buy come with the vehicle specific kit for the rx7? , just wondering becuase if it didn't, then you will most likely have to weld a bung on to mount it.

thanks man, now that I think about it that makes perfect sense. yes it came with two different adaptors for different size hoses to fit on. I eyeballed it and one of them matches the width of the original pipe going into the factory bov.
