HKS SSBOV weld w/ FMIC piping?
i am finally about to install my xs fmic kit this month, but i am not sure what the best way to weld my HKS blow off valve to the intercooler piping would be. i am currently using the rx7 specific kit with the l-shaped flange that replaces the stock blowoff valve.
i would like to ask anybody experienced for their opinions on how i should go about attaching the bov to the piping. currently there is just an empty hole on the ic piping waiting for a bov. should i get a shop to weld the entire kit with the l-shaped flange to the hole, or bore out the hole to fit and fabricate a custom flange for the bov without the rx7 fitting? i have poked around a little bit and havent found too many ic setups with an hks bov. any good advice would be appreciated.

Get one of the HKS universal flanges and have it welded to the piping. Enlarge the hole iff needed so that the flange fits properly. HKS sells the flanges in aluminum, mild steel and stainless dependign what piping it has to go to.
