I wonder if there is a ebay version of the V-mount HKS intercooler?

By build your own setup do you mean you can do custom fab work yourself?

 

I can do pretty much everything except wielding, if i would have to wield then i would let a professional wield it for me :P

Isnt there any intercooler simillar to the hks one at all?

 

Take some measurements and get a core made. Both Bell and Spearco make custom size cores I believe. If you really want to replicate it nicely it's going to take some money.

 

I think i will go with the godspeed v-mount intercooler and do custom piping instead!

Just remember, you get what you pay for. Its not cost effective if after a few months you end up having to replace it was a quality parts anyway. I learned this the hard way in high school when I build my first turbo car. I ended up paying more to replace all the cheap crap a second time after it failed.

 

i dont always agree with the above statement ..
I actually have the hks vmount which has cost me an arm and a leg and the fitment is to say the least terrible.. yes everything aligns just fine but fitting the radiator with the fans and the condenser etc is a huge PITA

do not go for the hks vmount kit.. From what i hear Greddy fits much better and its better engineered

 

yep greddy fits like a freaking glove. Not to mention it comes with a gorgeous rad and you don't have to reuse the stocker. Thats the first i've heard about the HKS being a PITA. Im sure it's high quality and everything, just gets pretty tight in the engine bay with all that stuff.

If you're going with a godspeed v mount, check out defined autoworks site. They have a v-mount kit that uses that IC for pretty cheap.

That way you won't even need to "wield"

 

Intercoolers

Tread stone is a really nice company. Their inter cooler cores are great quality. Some of their end tanks even have splitters to distribute the air evenly however I do not know if they have one for a V-mount setup. However they do supply to people who can fabricate, if you can weld or know someone who can then this might be a good option for you.

 

I checked the greddy one and its pretty expensive..

I found a core simillar to the greddy one. Does anyone have experience with the rotary works intercooler?

Looking for a pipe that goes from the Y-pipe simillar to the greddy one, does anyone know where i can find these?

 

You can get piping kits from cx racing and fab up a pipe yourself. Probably need 1 weld but a shop should do that for you around 20 or 30 bucks. Cxracing and rotary works are the same company I believe.
