anyone have one? it says 4 inch tubing...thats huge

The Hyper Titanium has the 4" piping, and it is also from the DP back. I.E. you will have no more cat. The regular Hyper is only 3" piping with a 5" tip.

i know that turbos love big exhausts...but is 4 inches necessary?

Depends on what kind of performance you are looking for....

If all you want is a more performance than stock, you can use a hi-flo cat which will give you very good power gain. If you want more performance, a mid-pipe will add to that, and increasing the diameter will increase it even more. However, I'm not sure of the power gain going from 3 to 4 inches though..
