HKS Fan Controller Problem

hey guys, i have a big problem and little time in which to get it fixed. i just put in a hks fan controller. i followed all the intrustions and tapped what i believe to be all the correct wires on the ecu. here's the problem. i go to put my battery cable back on and the fans begin to run. i turn the ignition on and they stop. the controller comes on, so on and so forth. but. i changed the settings on the controller, turned the car off, then back on, and the settings revert to what they i guess would be the default settings. someone please help me out here. i'm gonna go back and trouble shoot and see if i can't figure it out in the mean time. my car is a 93' FD, and the manufactured date is 8/92. on the hks instructions this makes me wire the main and sub fans from the ecu and not the main from the relay under the hood. the wires i have to install go ignition, speed sensor, water temp, main fan, sub fan, and ground. both the main and sub fan have a ground as well though. maybe they shouldn't be? thanks guys

what i would do is instead of going to the ecu directly just go the wiring harness under the driver kickpannel and wire it up that way it would be easier. Thats just me talking though.

you need to take out the fan recall harness. It bugs out the system and makes the fans run all the time when you turn the car off. I had the same problem till i ripped it out.

Would that also make the temperature readings off?

I removed all the fan recall stuff when I put my fan controller in, so I can't remember if I tried it without the fan recall crap.

The fan recall stuff is totally useless if you have a fan controller. It's in there to cool down a car running at well over 100 deg. C water temps, which is absurd. With the fan controller keeping the engine in the '80s where it should be, you don't need it.

Here's my review of the HKS fan controller, and at the bottom of the page is a link to the PDF of the English manual with my installation notes in the PDF as well.
