hks fan controller = fan relay elimination??
eh up gents, i have just bought a hks fan controller and was wondring if anyone has fitted these with the possiblity of eliminating the fan relays?
am i right in thinkin that because of the initial power drawn by the fans that i would need at least 1 relay?
also i will be fitting different fans so will this make any differnece,
i aint the brightest on wiring so if anyone can point me in the right direction of actually doin it it would be massively appreciated
reason i ask is that i am currently in the middle of rebuild so the engine is out and i am also tryin to tuck as much wiring as i can and if it aint needed its gettin binned
cheers lads

When it comes to wiring, just remember this: clean, reliable, and SERVICEABLE. don't go overboard with anything.
What exactly is the HK$ fan controller supposed to do? You know you have a stock ECU/Power FC that can control your fans for you? and you can increase the speed just by jumpering a couple wires.

You still need the fan relays. The fans draw a LOT of current, and if you tried to run the HKS fan controller to the fans you'd fry it.
Also, I wouldn't recommend replacing the stock fans. The majority of aftermarket fans out there SUCK - they're loud, don't flow much air, pull a ton of amps, and are failure-prone. Stock fans work VERY well, true 3-speed fans, flow a ton of air, reliable, etc.
Find a good place to hide the relays and be done with it.
You say you aren't the brightest with wiring, yet you're looking to tuck and modify all the engine bay wiring? You're setting yourself up for some serious problems.
