Unhappy HKS DP problems: Anyone else had any or is it just me?

Well I thought it was a perfect replica of the pre-cat but mine wasn't. The bottom/rear hole is not open like the other three. There is like a wall on the outside that makes it look like a tunnel. I dremeled it away hoping to be able to fit a socket or an open wrench but still couldn't. I also couldn't use the stock nut that has the built in washer. So I removed the stud and used a round headed bolt.

After getting in ot tight, I noticed an exhaust leak. There is a gap between the manifold and flange, under where the O2 sensor is.

This picture is blury but that's all I have.

Here is a pic of the Knightsports. Looking strait at the pic, the bottom/right hole is open but on my HKS there was metal around the outside of the hole making like a tunnel (like a socket).

Sounds like you may have gotten a retard, or at least one with Down's Syndrome. (sorry, politically incorrect humor)

Return it - mine fit perfectly with no issues.

my hks had the exact same problem you are describing, minus the leak. it was rough and i was only able to go so far on tightening the bolt before everything would just slip off. i didnt quite get to the TQ value of it but i know i was close. didnt really notice much of a diff with it one, but i did when i threw the RB dual tip and PFC in
