HKS Blow off Valve

Will the HKS Super Sequential blow off valve replace BOTH factory Blow off valves, or do I need 2? If it will replace both...how?

There is an FD specific HKS SSBOV kit available. It replaces only one...not the charge relief valve.

It comes with all mounting hardware and adaptors.

You only have one blow off valve. The other is the Charge Releif Valve (CRV). Any aftermarket replacement is only for the BOV, not the CRV. They are two seperate things.

Closest to the air box is the BOV the one closer to the engine is the charge relief valve.

what is the difference between mounting the blow off on the stock location and letting it blow off into the atmosphere, and mounting it on a flange on the ic pipe???

Good question Pumped, I'd like to know myself. My daughter bought a blitz BOV and her boyfriend mounted it in the upper IC pipe going to the intake elbow pipe that attaches to the throttle body. It bugs me every time I see it cause I just don't know if it can go there or not.

If anybody out there has got an answer for this, I'd appreciate it.

It is actually better to have it mounted closer to the throttle body like that, as long as the vacuum line actuating the BOV is not ridiculously long the location should provide a quicker response.

If you mount it on the turbo side of the I/C it will not work as good as if it was mounted on the throttle body side of the I/C cause A) It doesn't release the pressure to the enine as quick as if it were right by the throttle body and B) the engine is still sucking air and it looses the air charge in the I/C and the turbo has to fill all that up back up where if it was closer to the throttle body it keeps the psi up. basicly put: When mounted on the turbo side of the innercooler it doesn't work as good is if it were on the throttle body side of the innercooler. Your daughters bodyfriend is a smart one
