I would like some input on this:

I was considering installing the latest version of the Jacobs Rotary Pro Pak, but Dave at KDR said that high output ignition setups are not good for our cars. He said something about the rotary needs to have a little, I use this loosely, "dirty" ignition and it is not heathly for them to burn real clean.
I take what Dave says as gospel but would like some other input. If you look at rx7.com Ari claims to use the Jacobs setup on his car?

 

Think heat. The sad truth is that the closer to detonation you get, the more power you make. The trade off is disturbing if taken too far. Ari drives a full blown race car. Street legal, but still a race car. To win, you must push the limits. I owned the Jacob's pack you are talking about and I found that it really smoothed the idle and made for some crisp and snappy accelerations, but there was a price. Heat killed my leading coil twice. The unit produces more output than the stock coils can take. So, make you decision.

 

Thanks for the info. I am sure that is what Dave was referring to. The crisp/ snappy feel is nice I bet.
