HID's question concerning bulb replacment.

I have a set of 9006 HID's from my old M3 and I'm wondering if I could actually cut of the bulb and wire another Xenon bulb(H4) to fit my RX7, but still using the same setup but just different bulbs???? because the 9006 does not fit. Also I notice that the after market headlight kit uses seperate bulbs for High beam and Low beams just like the M3. Will this kit fit in those? Is the anyway I could replace the stock housing with a 9006 housing? Anyone with aftermarket head light please respond!

I've seen people try to make a 9006 fit into a 9003 bulb (h4) and it looks horrible. the light pattern is really messed up.

I suggest you sell your 9006 kit and then go buy an H4 kit and put that into the FD headlamps.

on that note..has anyone put real hid in the FD headlamps? i'd love to see pics!

How about the after market headlight like Eastbear or RE or C- west. Will the 9006 bulb fit into them? What bulbs do those use.

HID Lights in 93FD

I have just installed a HID Light kit in my 93FD.
Wow!!! Its a dual action light. It has a lens that is activated with a solioid that activates the brights.

It was easy to install once you know where to mount the ballast.
