I had Hella DE lights installed on my Civic but they were made for supplementing high beam usage, IMO. They don't have a beam cutoff line... I wouldn't use them to take the place of the stock headlights but I don't see any problem with using them on deserted roads with no oncoming traffic.

The nice thing about the Hella DE is that it is completely self-contained and weatherproof. The housings are also made out of magnesium, which resists the heat of the engine bay pretty well.

i used hella micro de xenon... the light in the picture above probably wont work

you need to have the 99 spec rebar to mount them into place, and they are a pain in the *** to straighten.

here is a pic of my car when it was missing a turn signal.

Can you take some?

ill take some once i get the car running again.

they are bright enough to drive with by themselves... i actually do that a lot, but J J is right, no beam cutoff, its projects a round beam of light

that would be nice

with my projectors (on my other car) i get a nice cut off... is it dependant on the lens size?

no its dependent on the design.....

the hella micro de are just supplemental driving lights, they are not meant to be low beam headlights, although they are bright enough
