hi there

I guess I'm new around here. I have a nissan 240 right now, i love its handling but its too slow, and its an automatic. I know i know, theres engine swaps and all that crap, but to get it to look good, and to make it go fast, it would cost about 15k... so in that price range Ive been looking at other cars (300zx TTs, porsche 944 s, stuff like that).. But the one thats really caught my eye is the RX-7 3rd generation. The handling of the 240 is legendary but from everything ive heard, the rx-7 beats it, and i dont really have to talk about it being faster because hell, thats a given.

anyhoo, just thought id introduce myself. i read that 'newbies start here' post down aways on this page and found it quite helpful, anything else would be awesome... by this time next year im hoping to own an FD (did i get that right?).

also-- anyone here in austin, tx? if so is there a local mazda club or anything like that where i can ride along in an rx-7? i havent had a chance to test drive one yet (soon though!) and im itching to feel the power.

Welcome to the forums.

Check this out for any clubs around Austin

Good luck with your search for an FD, and don't forget to use the search function, it helps out a great deal.

Notice he said he looked at the newbie thread at the top and found the links helpful. How many newbies even bother to look at that thread? not many. So when one finally does you have to be nice to them.

Anyways, welcome man.

I read the newbie post Helped a great deal. I still have tons of questions though, just haven't had time to search for the answers...
