Hi everybody,

Found this forum as i have just bought a 93 RX-7 UK import. Seems to be going fine so far (apart from mpg )

Last night the rev meter just stayed on zero, this went on for about 5 minutes and it appeared to be working fine, but strangley the oil meter was going up accordingly to the revs, i took it home slowly in case there was a serious problem, or could it just be something to do with the wiring/electrics?

What? You mean the stock oil pressure gauge? If it is, then I'm getting that too. Say at a stop light I'd look down at my oil pressure gauge and it'd be sitting at zero. When I accelerate it'll pop up all of a sudden. I'm not sure what the problem is but I changed the oil and it only does that once in a while.. Who knows. Maybe as a precautionary thing, check your oil level and leaks.. I'm new too so I won't be much help.

 

I don't know what's up with your tach, but your oil pressure gauge is supposed to act like that. It goes up and down with more or less go-pedal because you are increasing the oil pressure levels in the engine.
