Thumbs up Hi guys. Newbie here!

Hey guys.

Just to introduce myself, I'm a fresh out-of-college guy that's been driving and tuning honda's for about 7 years now.

Here is my current car:

Now I know some of you will hate on Honda's no matter what, but it's a damn fun car to drive. Especially with the new integra type R motor in there. I've gotten some offers for it that I might not be able to refuse for my project and I wanted to try something different. i.e. RX-7, Supra, etc.

I've loved the 7 since the FC's, but I really want an FD right now. My main concern is, how reliable are the TT RX-7's? I've seen so many that get rebuilt, but are they the same afterwards? Are there a lot of shops in So. Cal that support the 7? Should i not be thinking about purchasing a 7 with a certain amount of mileage?

How high maintenance is the 7? Keep in mind that this will be my daily driver, and I need something to get to work and back without having to worry about the car taking a crap on me. What should i be looking for if i buy a used 7? Any factory problems that I should be aware of, etc.?

Thanks in advance for any helpful information for a noobie.

i tried searching "rebuild motor" and it wasn't too helpful. sorry.
