Hi Guys

Hi, iv recently bought an 3rd Generation Rx7. Been fine for 2 months!!!! but recently iv noticed a drop in boost pressure! sometimes its fine, then other times its lower. I had a good look over the intercooler pipes ect... and couldnt see any problems. But i did notice one of the mounts on the PRESSURE CHAMBER was broken off completly, so it only has 1 mount. im thinking maybe the seal has cracked or split, would this cause a drop in boost if this was the case ????

hope someone can help

thanks guys

Nath

If by 'mount' you mean the ear the bolt goes thru, it's not an issue. After driving, pull one of the hoses from it - if it's got pressurized air (it should) then it's fine.

You can't just look at the couplers to see leaks. You have to remove them and inspect them off the car, even turning them inside-out. Under pressure they open up.
