Hi everyone. Im new here...

Hi everyone! I am a fellow member of my.is (lexus is300) forum and I just recently got my car rear ended.
http://my.is/forums/showthread.php?t=300119
I was thinking of getting a FD for myself. My question to you owners is...How do you like your rx-7?

Is the handling good?
How is the clutch/transmission?
Fun to drive?
Hard to take care of (maintainence)?
Any flaws?

Thanks everyone in advanced. I hope i dont get newbie flamed for this

1. YES!!!
2. Clutch is heavy, but not hard to drive; Transmission is strong, but watch out for the 5th gear syncho
3. ABSOLUTELY
4. Don't know...but i've had nothing but problems with mine
5. Flaws...overheating, 5th gear syncho, gas guzzler...i'm sure other people can list more, but it's a positive car for me

First and foremost, WELCOME!

1. Better than 9/10th of the cars out there (and that's saying alot considering it's 13 years old)!

2. Don't know.. have an auto (soon to be swapped out for a manual)
3. Most definately
4. On par with most other 13 year old high performance sports cars.
5. See the FAQ sticky for more info.

Good luck.

Heavy clutch? Have you ever driven a late 90's Ford Cobra? (I had a '99) Talk about heavy clutch...at least twice the effort required to push compared to my friends '02 SS Camaro, which IMO is comparable to a stock FD clutch.
