1:Smoking, 2:crack, and 3:smoking, HELP PLEASE =)

Im looking into this 3rd gen but it has a couple of problems.
First of all, he said sumthing about the injectors switching back to stock and is running very rich so the exhaust constantly smokes and idles at 1.5k rpm. He said it needs to be tunned.
Second, every hard shift at a high rpm a loud crank/crack noise can be heard from under the car.
Third, After a couple on minutes of driving and a few stalls, the passenger side (near the front of the hood) starting spewing out white smoke. Smelled a little like coolant and it was also leaking either coolant or water that can be seen dripping down from the smoking area. opened the hood and the smoke was pretty crazy, it was comming from the passenger side near the front of the car, by the fender where some wires are. he said it was the resevore loose or broken/leaking.

Any ideas what the problems are and about how much this would all be to fix.

1st) Probably had an aftermarket ECU of some kind and has larger injectors installed. If you put back in a stock ECU, it won't know any different and keep using the stock injection maps. So for example, this guy has 850s in the primary locations, the car will inject 850/550 = 55% more fuel. That's beyond rich - that's a plug fouling mess.

2nd) Major clutch problem or tranny damage. I would plan on a whole new clutch and transmission.

3rd) Leaky turbo coolant hose. $15 hose, (always use Mazda OEM) and a couple hours of work. But a major engine risk if it bursts, and a fire risk too.

I say keep walking. This car is clearly neglected. Never marry a ****.

If you decide to buy this car, the car may not be the only thing you bought....Headache and frustration!! Try to get a car as close to stock as possible.

Your second problem sounds like a cracked ppf.

Good point. If that's true, it's a $75 fix if you buy a used PPF in the classifieds.

I'd say no. I found my 93 for 10K with under 50k on the clock and no issues. Keep looking, it will be better in the long run. Some of the problems may seem a little trivial now, but just wait until you have to deal with all that BS.
