Bought mine in 97.
I think about selling it everyday, but the resale value on these cars is so shitty that it would be absoultley retarded to sell.

I bought mine new from the dealer in 94 and have 39,400 miles on it now. I was planning to get rid of it in 98 when I got a new Corvette, but the comparison made me decide to keep it.

Oct. 95, got it w/8K miles, I put over 105K+ miles... used her as a daly driver, on and off when my beaters were down or gone.
Will most likely never let her go... Had my bad days with her to, but overall she was always mobile, the longest down time, ~1 month, when I converted her to single ...

Second owner bought in may of '94 with 45K on it. Drove it to 110K in 2002, rebuilt the engine, rebuilt the tranny and redid the suspention. Now have 123K on it.

Bought my 82 GSL (new) in January of 82. Bought the FD in Jan 02, and sold the GSL a couple of months later. I have put about 15k on the FD in almost 4 years.

I bought mine same weekend as Adam C in Jan2002. He got his in Oregon and I got mine in San Diego. We hooked up on I-5 on the way home to compare our finds. I too was an original owner of an '81 1st gen and sold it a few months after to a 17 year old from Berkeley.

love the FD3

Ever since i was in my first undergrad program, way back in the day, when the first commercial for the 7 hit the air. remember it in a glass bottle being put into storage, screen goes blank, hear glass break and tires sqeal, and then back to an image of a broken bottle w/ tire marks....i digress....i knew i wanted one of those cars
Got my first 93 some time later. M.Blue w/ tan then in the spring of 99 i picked up the 95 PEG from a millionaire out in the "hills" west of Denver. Have had the car since and have no plans on ever selling it. I want my kids to go out to the back garage w/ their buddies and say "no way, check this thing out...."

bought the car w/ 23k on it and it now has 48k, been to 5 tracks and 28 states.
clocked at 173 mph at a disclosed location in North Dakota....

my dad had a 1st and 2nd gen turboII years back. I had my fd since August 02. yea its a love/hate relationship and im hating my exhaust leak and boost problems right now. but after reading this it reminds me of the good times. probibly will never sell it. its pretty cool knowing your car (the RX7) is totally different than every other car (piston engine) on the road.

Owned a rotary since 99 (been with all three gens) and I've had my 3rd gen going on three years now.

It's great to see that some of you have held on to the same car since it was new, wow. Congrats.

Bought mine new in 1994. Thought about selling it in 1999 but couldn't find anything better. Still can't.
