hey guys newbie ?
hey guys newbie ?
hey guys i really want to get a rx-7 but my friends keep tellling not too... they say they have bad engine PRobs. and they stall on ya when there lyke 100k mileage... now if u can tell me nething about the car and its daily problems it has i'll be thxful thx u
i will tell you two things:
1. its extremely high maintenance. on an average i have spent around 150-200 bucks per month just maintening the car. gas mileage is bad (i get 12 miles per gallon). and then of course insurance and monthly payments (if you finance it). so, keep the high cost per month in mind.
2. you will love it! its the best decision i have ever made in my life! no question about it! i love it to death! looks better than 100% of the cars out there, and performs better than 99% of the cars out there.

oh my god....like...for real?? lol j/k. like someone else said, they are very high maintanence. buy i think its very well worth it. they are old cars, so of course there's going to be some problems. just be ready to fork out some money for reliability mods, but you'll be very pleased with the performance.
Got mine a few weeks ago and I love it!! It's best if you are mechanically inclined, because you or someone, will be working on the car. Very fun, very fast, very unique. Only one other one running around my town ( Medina ). People keep stopping me asking " what is that " . Tom

I think your friends are jealous that you are even thinking of getting an RX-7. I'm planning on keeping my car running by learning how to work on the car myself. Not many people have the resources to do such a thing with most cars, but there are many RX-7 enthusiasts who know thier stuff and can help you out. I'm hoping me and Mindphrame can replace my Fuel Pulsation Dampener tomarrow.
I must say, this car is for VERY enthusiastic enthusiasts! I LOVE THIS CAR, but not the way you are thinking... I wanna have sex with it!
Just for the record, I'm 101k miles and still running strong on the original engine.

The car can be very good and you may never have any real issues it all depends on who has owned it before you!! and whos dick beaters have been working on it.
I bought mine blind as a bat not haveing a clue of what it was and I made out O.K. you will be fine just dont buy the first one that you see.(sounds easier said then done) but try to find someone who has a little bit of a clue and get one NOW.....
you will never regret it
4 years later and I will never get rid of it too much fun and will smoke just about anything out there and looks soooo much better than anything that you could afford to mach the performance and speed IMO
