FL hey guys need some help !!!!

hey guys whats sup ive got a 93 rx7 thats wont make boost after 4500 rpms so im asuming ive got a problem with secondary. My check engine light is on but when i check it to diagnose it only blinks one time and wont keep repeating the code.So really dont know if its code 1 ;or code 10.Well code 10 is the Air Thermosensor which ive already replaced and code 1 is the trailing coils which ive havent changed yet but anyways my real concern is making boost after 4500 is there some stuff i can check or any ideas. the car runs and drives fine just these two issues.Somebody told me it can be the turbo precontrol selenoid, and the wastegate turbo selenoid but theres no code and so IDK but any advice would sure be apperciated thanks alout !!!!!!

Try clearing the ECU (unplug the negative battery terminal and then wait and/or step on the brake for 30 seconds). Then see if the ECU code comes back.

As for the boost problem, I would start be checking/testing your Charge Relief solenoid. It should close a little before 4500 rpms to allow the secondary turbo to build and provide boost. If that valve doesn't close, it will vent all your boost after 4500 rpms.

yes i just dealt with it on mine. not sure how close to stock your car is or your mechanical knowledge but if you can understand that website alittle you may be in luck.

first things first check your lines running to the turbo control actuator, remove them and check both the vacum and pressure sides to be sure its actuating properly and the lines arnt blown. then remove the turbo control (solenoid valve) its attatched to the ACV. you need to bench check this by applying a 9v battery to the terminals and verifieing its opening. you can check for continuity on them as well with a multimeter but this can be false as mine was. it would have continuity but once actuated with battery would fail and have no continuity. i also had a hole in my turbo control pressure line. so i had no vacum or pressure going to the actuator hence no secondary.

hope that helps a little
