Hey guys Flywheel question..

Well I tried in the rotary performance section, now I'll try here since the FD motor and my Cosmo 13b-RE are similar... Thanks to all, and especially to the ones that can help

Im being cheap and trying to save money on my swap...

Ok I have the following...

A cosmo 13b-RE
A 88 T2 trans
A 88 T2 clutch/pressure plate assy.

Now I need a flywheel cause the factory one is an automatic.
Now can I use a Flywheel and front counterweight from say a FD? I found one pretty cheap. Will this balance the motor correctly and will my 88 T2 clutch bolt to it? Help

Humm no one knows? I guess I'll just buy the flywheel and counterweight from an FD and find out.

Im basing my decision on the fact that they both use basically the same rotational assy. Its basically the same block, its just the intake/turbos are different, and a shitload more of a rat's nest...

Flywheel & clutch

The Flywheel & counterwieght should be ok, but the FD has a pull type clutch rather than the more conventional push type. I'm not sure which type is in the T2 and if the mounting dowels and bolts are the same, I would think it would be ok. IMHO

Yeah that was my one and only serious question, I knew the flywheel and the counterweight would balance the motor, just wasnt sure. But the clucth I got is a different story. Im just trying to say 400 on a flywheel
