Hey guys just wanted to pick your brains on an issue I am having. I have a 94 Rx7 with no power steering or ac. The motor has a over 160,000 miles and still has the stock twins with a few upgrades. My mechanic has also told me the car has low compression. Car runs, but runs rich and idles but turns off. Transmission also is alittle messed up, gears grind while shifting. Now I am stuck with making the decision on do I keep investing money into this engine, or should i buy another 13b engine and 5 speed transmission with less miles, power steering and AC? Also would like to know if I do swap the engine, where should I look to find the best deals? What is a good price for both the engine and transmission? Let me know what you guys would do. Thanks

 

uhh.. 160K on a orginal motor damn that is rare!!

id look at rebuilding and getting the tranny rebuilt.. prob be wize to get new rotor housings too if its really 160K on that motor..

have plenty of low mile FD3S Jspec 5 speed gearboxes. all under 40,000 miles, most are alot less.. Plus the have the .806 5th versus the .796 USDM 5th.
