hesitation under boost, not 3k rpm hesitaton ..

whenever i hit boost in any gear my car does not accelerate like it did before. Rpm's rise very slowly like the car is slow as hell, but yet im getting full boost.

My mods are ;
apexi intakes
pettit 3" downpipe
intake hardpipes

still running the stock ECU and im getting a ECU code for the knock sensor but thats all. the car DID run before fine even with the map sensor code. I did flood my engine before and haven't changed the plugs out yet because noone around here sells the plugs i need so i need to order them. Anyone have any tips ?

Clogged cat would do similar....but probably not FULL boost, but you would boost.

Ditto on the clogged cat, however, if it's a recent/sudden problem I would check for cracked/loose boost hoses. Start from the y-pipe and proceed through to the intake elbow.

Also, maybe fouled plugs as you suspected, spark plug wire break down (this exact symptom and culprit happened to me) or clogged air-fiter(s)

Reply when you sort it out, please. Thanks.

Maybe a slightly clogged fuel filter, this would/may correspond with your knock codes.
There's a thread in the advanced section on this topic.

hey man appreciate the info, yea the knock sensor is bad because the actual sensor it self is bad. the fuel filter checked out to be ok fuel ran through it with no hardships. im getting plugs ASAP because the plugs i have in there now appear to have been flooded at least 4 times so.. yea it is a sudden problem thats why i dont believe the cat is the culprit, however with all the flooding on the engine, i did pump a lot of gas through the exhaust which MAY have clogged the cat. first is spark plugs, next would be borrwing a good cat from a friend.

It's not the cat.

Since your knock sensor is bad (or loose), the stock ecu is likely severely retarding timing and/or running rich for safety.

Make sure the knock sensor is still tight. If it's bad, replace it.
