Here's an Upgrade for the stock rubber radiator hoses!!!!!
Thermal Flex Inc ( www.thermalflex.com ) is debating making a radiator hose kit for our cars. Thanks to the help of Maxcooper for supplying as set of used stock ones Thermal Flex thinks that they can make a kit for around $175.00 roughly for the uppper and lower hoses.
If this goes through I will set up a group buy through the forum but I need to know if people actually want something like this. I'm kinda doing the leg work for them since i'm the one pushing for it. These will be better than the SAMCO hoses that are offered for many applications except FDs. This eliminates all the problems associated with the stock rubber hoses.
I attached a sample of what the silicone hoses will be like. Currently I use a set of hoses that TF custom made for my car.
1. This kit will be exactly like stock but out of 4-ply reinforced formed silicone which withstands up to 550F.
2. TF hoses do not become brittle with heat or expand under pressure like rubber.
3. Even if you have a FMIC remember all the IC kits require you to modify the stock hoses, you can modify these the same way.
Attached is a pic of what the hose material is like.
If any questions please ask.
Max- You got a set commin to you free thanks for helping in this project TF says it's the least they can do.

Please any questions or comments would be appreciated. I have to give them feedback by Monday at the latest. If it is good feedback i'll talk to Jason about a GB on the site.

Count me in as very interested. I was originally going to try and find braided SS radiator hoses but could only find fake covers, at least these are real and functional not just for show.

I plan on upgrading to a Koyo or Fluidyne unit in the future. Would these hoses still work and if not do they have some that will? If so, count me in. I'm voting for either blue or black.
