Here comes my rebuild..
Well, after doing a lot of thinking,I decided to have Pettit Racing do my engine rebuild..The cost is really high, roughly $5300+tax,but atleast I get the satisfaction of knowing it is being done right.Anyway, hopefully I can be back on the road within 2 weeks or so..Thanks everyone for the advice and opinions that they offered!

Banned. I got OWNED!!!
I've been supplied 2 pettit motors over the last 2 years, by customers wanting me to install them into their car for them.
The good thing is that, from what I can tell, they are assembled from pretty much all new parts, and they all get 3mm seals.
The bad news is that, their "streetport" is barely enough to be considered a clean up of the factory castings. Literally about 1 minute of scribble with the die grinder per port, not enough to change the shape of the port or remove any actual material. Both engines that I was brought were done exactly this way. You could look inside the exhaust ports and see the shiny vs the dull in the port, with the dull being the original port surface and the shiny being the die grinder scribble. Some of the factory castings were still visible.
Unfortunately I couldnt get any digital pics to come out, since the flash lighting wouldnt penetrate the ports very well. I did see the receipts from both customers for right around 4500, and they all said 'streetport".
