HEPA filtration

has anone tried cutting a HEPA filter to fit in front of the heater/air blower inside the car?? i was wondering because my entire dash/heater/interior is out of the car so i figured i might as well put a HEPA in there to pick up all that dust etc. my car gets pretty dusty/dirty inside, and i figured that it would be a nice idea to try a HEPA.... some new cars use them, so i figure why not?

fo shizzle ... im gonna look into finding a thin HEPA filter i can cut up.... it should be simple (if i can find a good filter to cut up)... i know that air filters usually use a pre filter... i wonder if that is overkill though... chances are this thing will NEVER get changed again, as the dash needs to come off to do it. (and yes ill take pics)

I tried it with a small filter from a vaccuum. Too restrictive. You'll probably need something like 15" square to get reasonable flow through it. The 320c benz has one that size and the vents flow noticeably less air with the filter on. You can get large HEPA filters at Target.
