Help: Temp Sensor (?) Connector Broke (Pic)

What can I do about this? I was thinking of maybe buying the connector and re-soldering the wires, but I can't figure out what it is. Nothing in the manual unless it's the water thermoswitch...

The plug I'm holding connects to male plug on the right of the green (water thermoswitch?) one.

depin the connector you have with a depin tool or small screwdriver. solder end of pin back to wire, insert back into connector

Thanks, zeeshan. I looked in to depinning but I couldn't figure out how to do it. I found out the rubber boot can come off which revealed a small enough wire to solder to.

Whew..

That is the fan switch connector and it commonly breaks off there.

Easiest way to fix it is to crimp a female spade connector to the wire and plug it in - not fancy, but it works fine. More complicated method is to find a good connector and splice the new connector in.

you can repair almost any connector, but you know what sucks? i can't ever find any replacement factory pins that you can crimp the wire into. if only i could find those pins, there would never be a need for soldering or splicing!
just crimp and go
