Wow, that is clean and really modernizes the front end. I could be on-board with that.

Have it shipped via sea freight from Legs. That's pretty cheap but takes a little longer (around 6-8 weeks).

Looks like a 99 spec without the plate holder and with a bar across oil cooler holes. Why not get a replica 99 front end for 350 shipped and have the body shop or you add something like those bars if you like it so much. Sounds pretty simple to me and just saved you 8 million dollars and a headache

I have one on my car now goes into paint this weekend. Picked mine up direct from Leg Motorsports when I lived in Japan.

Shipping a large box from Japan will be expensive. I second the idea of freight. The only thing that scares me is that I don't think it moves via traceable means.

Snook, those "bars" actually house LED lights. IMHO, they are pretty slick.

Pray tell, where are you finding authentic '99 spec front bumper skins for $350 shipped?

I recently got a replica 99 for that price new. The fitment was good and didn't have to deal with removing the plate holder. It was polyeurothane too. On my previous car I had a fiberglass copy without tag holder that I was also happy with. I'm really happy with the quality, and those light bars could also be added to it.

Group buy! Save on shipping by getting a whole container shipped here. I'd be interested.

Hey guys thanks for input, I should pointed that I brought the 99 spec bumper and lip from Mazda Motorsport back in 2000 (as u can see my avatar pix), so it's long overdue. I wanted it something more updated and that is the only bumper I found last year that capture my attention, and I been trying to find how to get it in us but with no luck for 1 year.

Curious if I'm missing the difference isn't it just the light bars and shaved plate holder or does it have a different shape all together?

This thing is way different from 99 spec. Lines are much sharper, sides are different. It is same basic openings but isn't 99 spec with the led light bars. Do a side by side.

So group buy?

I also notice that it isn't as 'smiley' as the 99 spec

I like it

Khris - if it helps with securing funds for the new bumper, I will buy your OEM '99 spec front bumper. You know how to reach me.

Fitment looks good. It just reminds me too much of the knock off 99 spec bumpers though
