Help with running rich.

I'm wondering what I can do to take care of car running rich. I was thinking about a buying an Apexi Power FC, but I dont know if that will solve my problem. From what I've been reading its a common problem with no common solutions. Please any help would be great.

check your plugs, injectors? Troubleshooting guide in manual to check out applicable sensors.

I would assume you would hookup a wideband 02 sensor to check out your AFR and go from there to determine when and if you're running rich.

ah i was looking for any signs of running rich, plugs fouling quickly, exhaust characteristics etc

Pull the plugs and inspect them closely. If it's an injector problem, one set will look a little different from the other set.

Assuming you accurately assessed that it's running too rich, the possible reasons I see are:
1) dripping injector(s)
2) bad MAP sensor, bad MAP sensor wiring
3) bad engine coolant temp sensor (leaves the ecu thinking the engine is still warming up)

But keep in mind that the stock ECU really does run rich much of the time, especially during warmup.
