It's hard to tell what is what from the pics you provided, here's a good vacuum diagram you wana look at, and find out the source from where those hoses you're refering are coming from.

Good luck, you'll need it, it's not an easy task working on rats nest.
P.S. Cover up the LIM (Lower Intake Manifold) before some hose clip or a nut falls in there, before you do anything,

I think it's the bright blue hose on the diagram near the words "empty pipe". So the hose in the first pic should to a metal solenoid nipple in the engine block about 2" forward of the primary injectors. Have fun, it's a b*tch to get to. There is a corresponding connection about 6" rearward on the rats nest to the solenoid on the rear rotor housing.
The nearby hardline that points up should go over to the thicker of the two nipples you have identified with a blue arrow. You'll need a pretty thick hose for that one - 6mm maybe.
Here's a tip: trace the hardline around to where it comes out somewhere else, and then look at the color diagram to see if you can find that end. Then of course any other connections on that hardline will be the same color on the diagram - and that makes it much easier.
If I ever get a spare rats nest it would be good to take a photo of it from all angles and point out the color on the diagram.

Whut up rescueranger, good to see you're still in the game. I just got my car back up and running. Thermostat went bad then the housing got damaged when I tried to take it out. Ended up having to replace the whole damn thing. If you're doing the vac hose job you may want to replace your check valves. DaleClark sells an anternate to the expensive stock ones that work just as well and are smaller. I got a set from him and they work well. See ya around. Let me know if you need any help.
You can see them quite clearly with the fuel rail off. Unfortunately, that's really friggen deep when the rack, ACV, and harness are in place. As you can see, these solenoids fire the oil injectors.

Can you see the blue connector in this picture? The two connectors up top are the ones to the duty solenoid that bolts to the front side of the UIM. Does this help any?

In this picture, the connector is connected to its mate. It should give a little idea as where to look. (Upper left corner of pic.)
You know, if you had posted this thread 2 days earlier, I could have answered all your questions directly... but now my car is back together and can't see those areas any more, sorry!

the cable that it seems to mate with seems to originate from around the ypipe just behind the lim .. can anyone help me find where the other end of the cable goes to? a picture would be nice
rr,
Can you identify the colors of the wires in that connector? I have found only 2 blue connectors in my wiring diagrams for the '94, and neither seems to fit.
The first blue connector is called B1-11, "Ignition coil - TR," and is a 2-wire connector. One wire is blue with white stripe, and the other is black with red stripe. The black wire with red stripe would have +12V on it when ignition is ON; the blue/white wire is switched from +12V to ground by the Igniter. The shape of this connector as illustrated is not like the one in my car (or yours).
The other blue connector is B1-27, "Secondary Air Bypass Valve," and contains one yellow/red stripe wire and one black/white stripe wire. The trouble with this one is that it seems to go to the second solenoid from the firewall in the row of 7 solenoids.
I can't find a third connector that is indicated blue in the wiring diagrams.

Shogun,
"Testor's" enamel paints (like for painting model airplanes, cars, etc.). Bought at Michael's arts & crafts store. Works well. I bought 9 different colors and 9 brushes.

that wire does match with the wire in your picture .. the only problem is i cant find its mate .. on the first page of this thread .. dgeesaman posted a pic .. coincidently that blue wire in his picture seems to be the one that it connects to .. unfortunately for the life of me i cant seem to find it .. ive tried looking through the parts manual on iluvmyrx7.com to find a wire diagram .. but i cant seem to find that darn wire
The blue connector goes no where, and was never connected before you took everything apart. Did you find where the vacuum hose goes...If not it goes to the Y pipe.
